In the span of thirty years this college became a very big brand nationally. This height was reached with the help of consistent academic discipline, innovative way of teaching ever growing placement record and due to dedicated staff. A decade ago this college was consistently ranked among top 30 college in India. This is the first college which was awarded NAAC accreditation in 2004. In 2009 Christ University has opened one more campus, Kengiri Campus on Mysore Road which accepts MAT score for management studies and COMED K for engineering studies. Important: There is a confusion among candidates regarding the affiliation of Christ University. When Christ University applied for deemed status in 2008 it was supposed to take a NOC from the state university (Bangalore University). But in our country bravery is not always awarded. So, Bangalore University refused to give NOC to UGC(University Grant Commission). So initially it was included in the list of those 44 universities which was to be derecognised to be deemed university. Since then the case is in Supreme Court for decision and till then Christ University is continuing to be deemed university.
